Dylan Tribute Out Today (and I’m on it)

“Dylan: Philadelphia Pays Tribute to a Legend” is out today!  I contributed track 8, “Eternal Circle.”

The album features entirely Philadelphia artists and was recorded at Racetrack Studios in South Philadelphia.  It was produced by Lance Davis, engineered by Shane Moore, and mastered by Dave Bowden.

So much great stuff on here, kicking off with The Levee Drivers’ version of “Tell Me Momma” - which rocks harder than anything I’ve heard in a while.  Listen to/purchase the whole album here:

“Cashing in” on UK Radio

Ian Rothwell and Jillian Bowyer chatted about me and played “Cashing in on Christmastime” on their Salford City Radio show yesterday.  You can listen again to the program here.  The song comes in at about the halfway point in the program.

Caffe Vivaldi this Saturday/Petition/Guest

I will be playing at Caffe Vivaldi this Saturday at 6 PM.  A couple things about this show:

1.) It may be my last show there - though I certainly hope it’s not.  Caffe Vivaldi, like many great, old institutions in the Village, has fallen on hard times; they recently got a new landlord who has TRIPLED their rent.  Ishrat, the owner, has been wonderfully supportive to me and countless other artists over the years.  He books 4 acts each night, and shows are almost always free.  He’s been there for nearly 30 years and has built up a warm and welcoming place for artists and audiences alike.

So what can you do to help them stay in business?  Well, you can sign this petition for starters:

http://signon.org/sign/save-caffe-vivaldi

What else?  You can give Caffe Vivaldi your business by coming out and having some drinks and/or some food, and listening to some good music.  Like, say, 6 PM this Saturday.

2.) I’ll have an honored guest in attendance on Saturday.  You may recall that my music has received some airplay in Salford City Radio in the UK.  Well one of the presenters from that station will be attending my show on Saturday and recording an interview with me for broadcast once she returns home to England.  I mention this in part as a further plea to get you there.  Imagine if Guffman had turned up at Corky St. Clair’s show and saw a bunch of empty seats.  You know what I mean.  I’d like to fill the place on Saturday so my guest from over the sea will continue to spread the good word about me to the folks back home.

So, to sum up, sign the petition, and please come out to the show!
